I call this shot “Looks like a pump, feels like a sneaker…”
When you have a bunch of talented creative friends you tend to come up with hare-brained ideas that actually come to fruition. So Lydia, one of my close friends and a talented photographer, and I decided to shoot an off-duty Chun-Li kicking it in, where else, Chinatown.
Wandering around the area at 9am on a Saturday meant that I was mostly greeted with open-mouth stares from older members of the community, but thankfully avoided the eventual tourist rush.
When I eventually ended up at WonderCon afterwards I was greeted by a stranger who basically told me that I had Chun-Li’s “legendary thighs” and, you know, I’m okay with that.
Click the pic for the rest of the set on Flickr. Thanks Lydia!

I am working on a new photo series, inspired by 1920’s Aussie mug shots mixed with Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego V.I.L.E. henchmen. Katie, who e-mailed me a link to the mug shots is my first villainess: the Baroness von Stole.
Shot on a Hasselblad 500c and expired Kodak 400CW film.

This is Page, and she is a lovely little muse.
Doll me up… x3

Happy Chinese new year, year of the rabbit! I suspect you will find this photograph creepy. I do too, but it also amuses me. Fun fact: the models behind these masks are named Bunny and Rabbit. I kid you not.
